Do I receive cashback on all OKX Card transactions?
Not necessarily. Even when cashback is available and you pay with an eligible asset (for example USDG), some transactions may not qualify for cashback due to merchant category restrictions. Cashback eligibility can depend on:
Which asset funds the payment (for example, cashback is USDG-only currently)
The merchant category code (MCC) assigned to the merchant by the card network
Promotion rules (caps, time windows, and other terms shown in the OKX app)
What are the transactions that may not earn cashback (excluded MCCs)?
Cashback is typically not awarded for transactions in certain merchant categories, including:

Important: MCCs are assigned by merchants and the card network, not by users. Two merchants that look similar can sometimes be categorized differently, which can affect cashback eligibility.
How do I check whether the cashback was applied or not?
In the OKX app, you can typically review:
the transaction status
the funding asset used (for example, USDG vs USDC)
cashback amount (if applied)
If cashback is missing, it may be because the transaction falls under an excluded MCC or because the promotion terms didn’t apply to that purchase.
What should I do if I think cashback is missing incorrectly?
If you believe a transaction should have qualified, reach out to OKX Assistant and share:
merchant name
date/time
amount and currency
whether the purchase was online or in-store
Support can help confirm the transaction’s category and whether it was eligible under the current cashback rules. Get your OKX Card here.
