After careful consideration and intensive risk analysis, OKX has decided: the future of crypto trading lies in the past. From April 1, 2025, all trades, deposits and withdrawals will be secured by an additional safety protocol – fax confirmation."Blockchain is secure. Two-factor authentication is secure. But nothing is as secure as a fax that nobody can intercept, because nobody owns a fax machine anymore," explains Dr. Franz-Josef Toner, Chief Faxer at OKX. The decision was made following an internal audit which found that not a single fax has ever been hacked. "The numbers simply speak for themselves," said Dr. Toner.
How the new trade process works
Initiate your trade – log in to OKX as usual and place your order.
Print the fax form – download the trade confirmation form (PDF, 20 pages), fill it in and sign it.
Fax to +49 9999999 FAX-KRYP – please use block capitals and a blue ballpoint pen. Red or black ballpoint pens are not legally compliant.
Wait 3–5 business days – our team reviews every fax personally. Illegible handwriting will extend processing by a further 5 business days. Very illegible handwriting may require repeating 4th grade.
Confirmation by return fax – you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt. Please ensure you have sufficient fax paper.
