OKX pre-market trading allows you to trade crypto that are not yet listed in our spot markets. You can participate in price discovery by trading USDT-margined pre-market perpetual contracts. When the crypto get listed for spot trading, the pre-market perpetuals contracts get converted to standard perpetual contracts. Your positions and profits will be carried over; no need for any manual operations.
1. If the new crypto gets successfully listed for spot trading:
• Pre-market trading will stop after the new crypto is listed.
• Your pre-market contracts will be converted to the standard perpetual contracts of the same crypto. Your pre-market positions and trading data will automatically carry over.
• After the conversion is complete, our standard funding rate mechanism will be adopted. You can keep holding the positions or trade them as you see fit. For detailed conversion timeline, please refer to our crypto-specific official announcement.
2. If for some reason the crypto is not listed on OKX:
• Pre-market trading for this crypto will end and all contracts will settle.
• The settlement price will be based on the crypto’s arithmetic average price for a period of time before the end of pre-market trading. It could be set at a very small value under special circumstances, for example, when market liquidity is low. For detailed settlement rules, please refer the pre-market trading terms for each crypto.
• Pre-market trading will stop after the new crypto is listed.
• Your pre-market contracts will be converted to the standard perpetual contracts of the same crypto. Your pre-market positions and trading data will automatically carry over.
• After the conversion is complete, our standard funding rate mechanism will be adopted. You can keep holding the positions or trade them as you see fit. For detailed conversion timeline, please refer to our crypto-specific official announcement.
