How do I deposit USD with U.S. Domestic Wire Transfer?

Domestic wire transfers are a great way to deposit larger amounts from your bank account to your OKX account. In most cases (depending on your bank), they are processed on the same business day (or up to 3 business days). This payment method is currently only offered to our U.S. users who have completed verification and reside in eligible states.To initiate a transfer, you'll need to access your bank account and your unique USD Domestic wire transfer deposit details.

How do I make a cash deposit?

On the web

  1. Log in to your account on okx.com, go to Assets, and select Deposit

  2. Select United States Dollar and select the Domestic wire transfer deposit method

  4. Review the deposit instructions, login to your bank account to send a Domestic wire transfer and copy across the Recipient name, Recipient address, Routing number (ABA) and Account number.

  5. Confirm within your banking app that the details have been copied across successfully and ensure the amount your are sending is within your remaining limit and then submit the wire transfer.

Note:

  • The deposit processing time will differ based on your bank. It usually takes between 1-3 business days.

  • Make sure the name on your OKX account matches the name on your bank account.

  • While we don't charge a fee for USD deposits via domestic wire transfer, your bank may charge additional transfer fees.

  • Ensure that the amount you transfer is within the minimum and remaining limits. Please note amounts which are lower than the minimum or higher than the maximum will be returned, incurring additional fees from your bank.

1. Why am I not able to see the "Deposit USD" feature?

To comply with local laws and regulations, USD deposits are only available to customers who have passed verification and who reside in eligible states within the U.S.

2. Why do I need to verify my identity before making a deposit?

We ask you to verify your identity to follow local regulations, keep our platform secure, and help determine the best payment methods for your region.

3. Why did my wire deposit fail after I was able to send it from my bank successfully?

Please make sure that you are:

  • Sending from a bank account which is held under your name

  • Copying across the correct deposit instructions into your banking app (Recipient name, Recipient address, Routing number (ABA) and Account number)

  • Sending an amount that is above the minimum limit

  • Sending an amount that is within your remaining limits

If you don't enter this information, we may reject the wire and return it to your bank and this may result in additional charges from your bank.

4. What happens if I send an amount more than the remaining limit?

A deposit which has been received in excess of your remaining limit will be returned to your bank and this may result in additional charges from your bank. We may also charge you a fee to return the deposit to your bank.

5. What happens if I send an amount which is below the minimum limit?

A deposit which has been received below the minimum limit will be returned to your bank and this may result in additional charges from your bank. In some cases, we may not be able to return the payment to your bank as the fees charged by us and/or your bank exceeds the deposit amount.

6. How do I check my remaining limits?

You can select the information icon to review your remaining limits on the deposit page
