If you find that your phone number or email address is already linked to another OKX account when attempting to bind it, you can migrate the phone number or email address to your current account. Below is an example of email migration. The steps for phone number migration are similar.

1. Open the OKX APP and log in to your main account

2. Home > Main Menu (top-left corner) > Profile and Settings > Security > Email > Change Email Address. If you can still receive emails at current email address, select Yes, although select No,

3. Enter the required information:

Provide the following details:

  • New Email address

  • New email authentication code

  • Original email authentication code

  • Google authentication code

4. Select Confirm > Migrate Account.

After confirming the relevant information, select Start > Correct > Next, tick the box for acknowledging the account closure notice, select Close Account > Yes, Confirm > Done to successfully migrate the account.

If your phone number is already in use and you need to migrate it, please refer to the article How do I change my phone number?

Notes:

  • The account you are logged into is the main account, and the account with the migrated phone number or email is the duplicate account. After the migration is complete, the duplicate account will be closed. To prevent crypto loss, please transfer all crypto from the account with the migrated information before the duplicate account is closed.

  • Only accounts that have not completed identity verification are eligible migrated; accounts that have been verified cannot be migrated. Referrals and crypto from duplicate accounts will not be transferred after migration. In addition, each phone number and email address can only be migrated once.

  • Identity verification is required before withdrawing crypto on the OKX.
