BNS can now be bought directly with Electron Wallet
the process is pretty simple:
→ Go to and open Electron Wallet
→ Fund your main address with BDX
→ Select BNS Service
→ Check the name you want on
→ Choose 1 / 2 / 10 years and purchase
you can also update/transfer ownership and renew your BNS before it expires from the same tab.
one useful thing is that a BNS name can be linked to things like your BChat ID, wallet address, and BelNet address, instead of using long addresses.
if you're already using the Beldex ecosystem, this is a simple way to manage your BNS.

one thing i like about BChat is how privacy goes beyond just messaging.
no phone number is needed.
you use a BChat ID, which can be linked to a .bdx name, while messages are routed through Beldex masternodes.
you can also set messages to disappear after a chosen time instead of leaving old conversations sitting there forever.
i still have an old thread without a timer, maybe it’s time to fix that.

been looking into what Beldex is building and the bigger picture is pretty interesting.
it’s not just about making one app private.
the idea seems to be building an ecosystem where privacy is part of the underlying infrastructure from identity and communication to networking and applications.
that makes the whole approach feel much more scalable than simply adding privacy as another feature.
@BeldexCoin is definitely one I’m keeping an eye on.
